Disco 4 announced.
August 6th, 2007Disco 4, the latest installment in the Pet Shop Boys remix album series has been announced. The project, released in the UK on September 27th, focuses mostly on remixes on tracks performed by other artists and features the following tracklisting:
- The Killers, “Read My Mind (PSB Stars Are Blazing mix)”
- David Bowie with Pet Shop Boys, “Hallo Spaceboy (PSB Extended mix)”
- Pet Shop Boys, “Integral (PSB Perfect Immaculate mix)”
- Yoko Ono, “Walking On Thin Ice (PSB Electro mix)”
- Madonna, “Sorry (PSB Maxi-mix)”
- Atomizer, “Hooked On Radiation (PSB Orange Alert mix)”
- Rammstein, “Mein Teil (PSB There Are No Guitars On This mix)”
- Pet Shop Boys, “I’m with Stupid (PSB Maxi-mix)”
I was actually just wondering if they’d ever do this sort of thing while sorting through my remixes by the duo. I’m glad to see “Hooked On Radiation” getting a proper release, and judging by the title alone, that remix of “Integral” will be the ultimate in political dance tunes this fall.

Damn! I had to spend all day (all day) at the DMV and you scooped me!
I’m glad I didn’t buy that Killers remix, but sorry (heh) I had my brother buy me the Sorry remix for xmas. (I like the Madonna mix though. Guilty pleasure.) Hallo Spaceboy rules and I’ve yet to hear those other remixes (not sure which “Mein Teil” I’ve heard) so I’m really looking forward to this!

Well, I have long hoped for a release like this, but always assumed that it would be too big a hassle with record companies and all. I’m a little disappointed that the remixes of the Blur and Bloodhound Gang tracks aren’t included (I had them both once upon a time, but lost them), but I’ve never heard the Atomizer track, so I’m looking forward to that, as well as the PSB remixes.
