Lights, Models, Guest List.
July 15th, 2007Hi there. My name’s Kevin Church, and I’m a Pet Shop Boys fan. That’s why I’ve decided to create this blog, where I’ll explore the band’s work, including their albums, singles, concerts, videos, remixes, etc. There are plenty of web-based resources to the band out there, but I’d like to think I’ll be bringing a unique spin on things, hopefully avoiding the alienating, obsessive behavior that keeps me (and others, I presume) away from the forums.
My first “major” project will most likely be a trawl through the singles, starting with “West End girls” and progressing forward from there, beginning later this week. With that in mind, here’s a video featuring the first-ever “live” performance by Pet Shop Boys, wherein they mime the Bobby Orlando-produced version of “West End girls” for a Belgian audience.

(resisting the impulse to cry “First,” as I loathe people who do that with all my heart)
What a great idea, and so far it looks lovely. Best of luck. i don’t know when you sleep–don’t burn out on us!
Only constructive comment I’ll make is that I’ve found a narrow text column blog can sometimes be somewhat restrictive, design-wise, when you want to include a larger image. I’m sure you’ve realized this and of course I know you can tweak the column size at any point if needed.

I particularly like the part in the video where Neil is pretending to sing the samples.
Great page, Kevin! I look forward to seeing what you have to say!
